Meet Team Rubi

hard work and dedication are keys to success

Team Rubi is constituted by four dressage binomials of Dressage riders & Lusitano horses, some of which are approved for breeding. Inspired by the great results achieved by the pioneer dressage stallion of this project – the Olympic Rubi AR – new teams of Lusitano horses and top Portuguese riders work together under the banner of Team Rubi to achieve great results in dressage and promote the breed internationally.

Who we are

We are a team of Lusitano horses and riders, motivated to build TOP dressage binomials within the breed.

Stallions

Some of our horses are not only top dressage athletes – they are also recommended stallions with semen available.

Rider of Bariloche JGR & Iranico JGR & Garrett
One of Portugal’s best upcoming riders, talented and hard-working and versatile, having won important competitions in Dressage and Working Equitation. With Bariloche JGR, they were part of the Portuguese team which managed an historic 6 th place at the European Dressage Championship 2017 in Götemborg.

Former rider of Iranico JGR
One of the top International dressage riders in Portugal, Maria has taken several Lusitano horses, sons of Rubi AR, to podium classifications and victories in Europe. With a son of Rubi AR, Coroado AR, they were part of the Portuguese Team which managed an historic 6th place at the European Dressage Championships 2017 in Götemborg.

Upcoming talent in Portuguese dressage, Rita was the rider responsible for keeping Rubi AR and as a member of Team Rubi dressage competitors she rode Rubi AR's son, Coronel.
